G&G Innovations, a pioneer in the design and implementation of AMR & IoT applications for water saving and wastewater management, is proud to announce the underwriting of one of the most important Water Supply and Sewerage projects of a total amount of 6.287.469,60 €, which by decision of the Ministry of Interior has been included for funding in the “Ant. Tritsis”, in the axis “Environment” and will be implemented in the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos, Crete.

More specifically, the management of the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Agios Nikolaos, awarded the project “Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Automatic Metering System (A.M.R.)” after an international tender that meets all the procedures of transparency and meritocracy, and the President of D.E.Y.A. A.N. Mr. Vangelis Mavrikakis co-signed the award of the project with the representative of our company Mr. Georgios Tzagarakis.

Mr. Georgios Tzagarakis, co-founder of G&G Innovations, an electrical engineer with postgraduate studies and many years of experience in public works, said: We would like to thank the President of the D.E.Y.A. A.N. Mr. Vangelis Mavrikakis for his cooperation with our company. Another municipality gives us the opportunity to prove that new technologies have a leading position in local government. With the implementation of the project, we are committed to actively contribute to the timely information and intervention of the crews, resulting in the immediate repair of the faults in the water supply system. Our main focus is to achieve the upgrading of the services provided to the customers of D.E.Y.A. A.N., so that all citizens of Agios Nikolaos Crete can enjoy the most important commodity, water, without any problems.

As Mr. Vangelis Mavrikakis, President of D.E.Y.A.A. said. Agios Nikolaos: The aim of the system is the continuous monitoring of the internal water supply networks, through 16,800 digital water meters of fixed wireless transmission and using machine learning software, which essentially introduces the operation of the D.E.Y.A. A.N. into a new era, taking a huge step of modernization by introducing modern digital technology in the control of the operation of the water supply system.

The purpose of the municipal enterprise is the installation of modern leak detection systems through telematic recording of water meters in the water supply network of D.E.Y.A. Agios Nikolaos, so that in combination with the measured consumption of the external aqueducts and the distribution of water to lead, through appropriate software, to the direct global perception of reserves, consumption, water balance, and the drastic reduction of operating costs of the water supply system of D.E.Y.A. Agios Nikolaos. In this way we achieve above all the saving of water resources, which with climate change water is now a scarce commodity.
